This incident I really don’t remember and I don’t think I would it happened a lil while after I was born and my dad was going to America and my mother and my sister and me were shipped of to madras to stay while he was there!!... We were in my aunts house and they had gone for some dinner or some party and the three of us were home alone!! Yay??... think again… my mum went for a bath and left baby adorable me and ahem “super smart” sister in the room… that brilliant sister of mine accidentally locked my mum in from outside and when it was time for ma to come out she couldn’t open the door!!!.... my sister started panicking… and ma was telling her how to unlatch it and my sister was apparently assuring ma all the while that she would be a good girl and ma shouldn’t punish her by staying in there… lol!!!... what a scene and me amongst all that confusion decided that it was time for a tantrum and started my yelps and screams and everyone started to panic… ma even threw a glass blade of the ventilator down to get the very watchful watchman’s attention!!... She finally decided to try her best at karate!!… or whatever she thought she just gave the door a solid shot and guess what that door was all termite eaten and she managed to emerge thru it and I guess more than anyone it was my sister who was relieved the most !!! Lol!!... What a rare opportunity to be present at such a situation!

Bad (hair) Day!!!
Once the three of us sisters were so excited about going out to dinner one night when some jobless guests walked right into our house at the exact time we ere to leave… its like they were spying on us and knew exactly when to come in.. Like a cue for this game of life that we play!!! We got quite angry and decided to play with each other for a while and hope and pray that these jobless freaks would soon disappear! We decided to play barber barber!!!(Notice how all these kiddy games are always said in twos like teacher teacher and house house!)The youngest as usual was shoved into this cute (or ugly whichever way you looked at it) chair that I had… it was fluorescent green and pink…. Arrrgh… ugly!!!... She very reluctantly sat her behind on it not because of the chair but she wasn’t willing to trust her big sisters… whhh??... How dare she not... but anyway she asks us in a very small and shaky voice if we knew what we were doing!!!... We very confidently tell her to trust us!!! And we slap almost a whole tin of powder on her face and start chopping her already small hair into spikes!!!... Yikes!!... Poor thing!!! Amma comes in after those jobless freaks leave and wow she must have blown a fit or laughed her head off... I don’t remember which one it was!!
I will runaway!!!
I have to narrate this incident where my elder sister and my mother had this argument and apparently I was involved too but not as pissed off by the verdict as my sister was. Quietly sitting in a corner and playing by my self as usual I was interrupted by my sister, who had packed a little knapsack of clothes and other things for herself and came and proclaimed to me that our dear mother loved us no more cause of the obviously horrendous decision she had made and that it was time for us to run away. So me, being the good little sister I was I decided what my ignorant sister said was right and I took a little bag of clothes and goodies for myself and we both “ran away” to……. The neighbor’s house!!! And my sister tells Sophie aunty, the aunty living there that amma had gone to the doc and had instructed us to stay there for a while… now that I think back about it I wonder what Sophie aunty must have thought about two goon children walking into her house knapsack and all telling here that our mother sent us that way!... hilarious!

Royalty Fee!
what the hell is a royalty fee???...how a i supposed to know??... they didnt even teach me that and i just ought to know it??... oh yeah.. big deal, you might say, who doesnt know what a royalty fee is??... well for your information i went to college to have fun and i learnt some stuff in the process.. but one of it was not royalty fee!!!!!!!!!!... anyways here i was sitting for my final paper of my final semester... media organization.... imagine the excitement in the air... the final paper of the final semester... overjoyed was i..... so i was sitting in the hall not having studied really, just about having glanced thru everything waiting for the examiner to hand over the question paper!!!!...
she gives it to me and i look at it... and the first question is royalty fee!!!... now i dunno what that is... so i smile... the next question is a barter syndication... am not sure what that is either so i look around the room wondering if am the only idiot who didnt know anything... but i see the whole class giggling and snickering... so i feel reassured and i start answering the paper... now i have this policy of not leaving out anything... even if i dont know it i just write something anyways.... so i start writing..figuring that i have to connect it to the media in some way or the other i write royalty fee is the fee that is paid to the uk government in order to screen movies or any thing in the united kingdom... ok.. bad enough it wrong.. but i go further than that by adding ... since the uk is a monarchy where the king and queen is the head the fee paid is known as the royalty fee!!!!... ooooh God.... tell me about messing up!!!... well am still optimistic!!!.. lets see!!!.. he he he

i really dunno how all these weird things happen to me!!!!... but they just do you know....sometimes i feel its like God saying i would like to watch a bit of comedy now... you know.. like how we turn on the tv to watch friends or something... he s probably sitting up there in heaven saying ah... what should i watch today???.... and it happens to me!!!!! ... LOL!!!
one not so fine day i set out to the station to catch the train back to chennai after a short holiday at home... so being the second child i have never had to shoulder any major responsibility... my elder sister always took that on... so here i was traveling alone... not actually for the first time.. but one of the first few times.... and my parents were giving me solid advice...." dont talk to strangers and just listen to music on your i pod".. "dont look left or right or up or down"... "bury your head in your magazine and just get off at chennai"... "keep the alarm so that u wake up on time".. "do you have enough money, water, food etc.".. "study well molae"... "try loosing some weight"... "be good"... etc etc etc... you kno.. all that parent stuff...(sorry to deviate... but i just figured that the word apparent must have come from A PARENT.... since a parent keeps stressing on apparent things... ha ha ha ha ha ha ha).. so there i was when the train chugged off the station my head buried in the magazine and my i pod on full blast quite oblivious to things around me!!!... i barely noticed the train ticket examiner (the TTE) walk up and down a zillion times.... almost two hours into the journey and nearing Trissur station he comes and asks me for the ticket... so i triumphantly give it to him.. feeling very grown up and responsible and with a look that said i dont care a damn about all of you... i do this all the time....
TTE: this tkt is not for todays train
ME: stare at him blankly
TTE: excuse me.. but this tkt is not for todays train!!!! (getting a little cross at my blank expression.)
ME: uh... hmmm.. uh ok
TTE: you have to get off the train now!
ME: uh... ok.. what do i have to do to get back on????... uh.. where are we???
TTE: you have to get a general tkt (unreserved) to get back on and we are almost at Trissur
ME: ok!...
i look very sheepishly at my fellow passengers watching all this tamasha!!! and i get my bag out an walk towards the door, willing myself not to cry in front of everyone... i call my dad (good ol' dad.. always there when you need him).. and tell him the situation... he first tells me to stay calm and not cry and to get off at the trissur station and sit somewhere where there is light and lots of people... what typical fatherly advice... not hearing that makes me want to bawl!!!!!.. but i dont cry on the train... i just look like am on the verge of tears and anyone coming near me would trigger it off... we finally reach trissur... i get off the train and look around...
apparently am on the second platform.. there is not a single source of light in the distance and the only bit of light is coming from a vegetarian stall... i am sill holding back the tears mind you.. and i walk towards the stall.... i ask him how to get to platform # 1.. he looks me top to toe and says " jump onto the rails and walk over there and climb onto platform one"... i look at him as if to say.. what????????????... are you freaking crazy?????.... but i just smile and walk away...
thinking that its probably because he was a guy he said that.. i ask this lady with a bag full of vegetables the way to platform #1.. she looks at me from top to toe(I dunno why everyone there does that.. its creepy!!!!) and tells me to jump down and cross the rails and jump back up onto platform 1... i simply say thanks and head away from the stall... i just break down crying and i kneel down right there and i start to pray!!!!!!... i get up still crying very silently but nevertheless crying and walk in some direction... i reach the overhead footpath an i reach platform 1.. i find a bench just outside the deputy officers cabin and plonk myself there... bury my head in a magazine and sob my heart out.... my parents reach there after what seemed like eternity and i just cant stop sobbing.. i get into the car and we drive home.....
it didnt seem funny at all at the time... now looking back.. it does seem funny... but there s not a ticket that i havent checked the date!!!! and thats all part of life and growing up i guess!!!!!

It s all about me!
I was going thru a friends blog and i saw this and more than reading what he had written i was thinking about my answers so i decided that i just have to "borrow" it... so here goes!!!!

Been dumped?: yeah!!!.. but now thinking about it.. i dont care!!!!!
Shoplifted?: hmmm...cant really call it shop lifting... it wasnt a shop... it was a fruit cart and i whisked away a couple of oranges... for the fun of it.. dont even like oranges that much (except for orange flings.. he he he)
Been in a fist fight?:not really.... its all a big show on the outside!!!
Sneaked out of your parent's house?:parents house??... nope... the walls are higher than jail and more barbed wire than a hardware shop!!!!!!! but sneaked out??... yes!!!!
Had feelings for someone who didn't have them back?: yea... lets just leave it at that!!!! ;)
Gone on a blind date?: yeah... stupid thing to do really!!!!!
Skipped school?: nope... i loved school!!!!....
Been on a plane?: Yeah... hate long flights tho.... the "lavatory" is too small... lol!!!
Seen someone die?: No... and i dont want to... i ll probably be convinced his/her spirit is in me or something!!!
Purposely set a part of yourself on fire?: ha ha .. yeah... a bit of my hair!!!!.... but made it look like an accident so i wouldnt get yelled at!!!!
Been jet-skiing?: No... why be on top of the water when u can be in it???(am a total water person!!!)
Met someone in person from the Internet?: no... i hate blind dates... why would i do something like that????
Taken pain killers?: never ever been in that much pain( touch wood)
Flown a kite?: Yeah..lots.. and watched my best friend fly a kite for the first time very recently.. it was great!!!
Built a sand castle?:yeah.. a beautiful one... with shells all over it.. it was small.. but it was beautiful!!!
Gone puddle jumping?:yes... brings back so many fond memories!!!!
Cheated while playing a game?: ha ha ha... alot.. who doesnt??... other than maybe Jesus???
Been lonely?:yeah!!!...oh boy... wouldnt i know what thats like!!!!

Blown bubbles?: yes... am still mesmerised by them!!!!
Bonfire on the beach?:no.. but love the beach and a bonfire sounds really nice.
Cheated on a test?: yeah... i didnt know a thing... what else was a supposed to do??... give in a blank paper???? (i have done that too!!!!)
Gone skinny-dipping in a pool?: not yet.. but who knows... miles to go before i sleep!!!
